C3106 (Multiple Cassette)
INTENDED USE:
Dengue NS-1 Antigen + IgG/IgM Antibody Multiple Test is an immunoassay that uses double-antibody sandwich method for qualitative detection of dengue virus NS-1 antigen and immuno-capture method for qualitative detection of anti-dengue virus IgG and IgM antibodies from serum, plasma and whole blood specimens of human. This device performed manually. Performance of the test is limited to laboratory professional use.
SUMMARY:
Dengue is a highly endemic infectious disease of the tropical countries. Dengue virus is transmitted within humans through female aedes, 99% of which are caused by just two species, Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Classic dengue fever is primarily a disease of older children and adults. The incubation period varies from 3 to 14 days (average 4 to 7 days). Dengue virus has four antigenically distinct serotypes, DENV-1 to DENV-4, with different genotypes and three structural proteins and seven non-structural proteins. Amount of NS-1 antigen is raised quickly during the acute phase of dengue infection, regardless of whether it is a primary or secondary infection. Immune response includes IgM antibodies produced 5 days after symptoms onset and persist for 30-60 days. Secondary infections often result in high fever and in many cases with haemorrhagic events and circulatory failure. Immune response includes IgG antibodies rise in 1-2 days and IgM response after 20 days of infection. Current dengue test methods include: MSE antigen test, RNA nucleic acid test and the RDTs. As a RDT product, Dengue NS-1 Antigen + IgG/IgM Antibody Multiple Test is intuitive, fast, easy to interpret results.
